Bisu Hoops

$65.00 USD

Rustic and modern at the same time, and reminiscent to me of ancient Egyptian jewelry, these feather light oval hoops are sculptural and feminine. Due to their full round shape with gorgeous curves, they are called Bisu, after the Egyptian god of childbirth, pregnant women, children, and the household. He was thought to be both a fierce warrior, and an entertainer of children, which sounds pretty much like most of the women I know. Bisu later came to be regarded as the defender of everything good and the enemy of all that is bad, and well, you just can't beat that.

Available in three sizes: small 1 inch long, 1.5 inches long, and 2 inches long.

Metals options are sterling silver, and 14k gold fill

All Rebecca Haas Jewelry is handcrafted by me in my Southern Vermont Studio from recycled and ethically sourced materials.
